VERY LONG POST BEWARE

Yet another end of a year, and another year of my short-lived life gone.

2014 was strictly speaking, scary, frightening and well just can't really describe this year. I labelled the year as a terrible one after April 1st, for certain reasons.

I told myself to try to enjoy this year as much as possible, despite the tough situations i was put in. This year, i learned to let things go, become more open-minded and become a better person. Even though 2014 was a terribly bad year in terms of my personal situation, and the terrible grades and ever changing failures in life, it was good. 2014 was good. unexpectedly.

My friends have filled my life with amazing joy and i'm grateful for each and every one of them. In order to thank them, i have already done something to thank them so obviously not going to drag how thankful i am for them blah blah here.

Summarising 2014:

1) 3E1'2014

probably the toughest class in my life. Studies have never been that tough, but everyone really really did their very best, we are really bonded and i really wish everyone all the best in their O's ☺

2) OPOM

i hold 2 world records now, guiness world records. Pardon if i spell them wrongly but yeah. An national effort to bring the most number of chinese orchestras together resulted in OPOM. Its shocking yet amazing how so many people gather to create music as one, to signify the opening of the Singapore Sports Hub. Really happy to be a part of the event as a whole even though i had to sacrifice my sleep on Saturdays and Holidays. I did meet Gloria there, since she's from CO too, and i also meet Shi Min, from my Music O in AMK. It still bowls me over how we are all brought together because of an orchestra.

3) CO

how do i start? i detest the CCA. yes. i do. but
without it, there won't be the me now. There won't be the Jeimin that plays Erhu.

It's suprising how reliant i am towards it, and how much more fun it gotten when i had a proper gang of my own. I am not particulary social, neither am i an introvert. CO allowed me to meet new people, talk to them and indulge in my interests. Sure, there were times when i just wanted to sleep in and not go for practice. But after all, i think about it and i think, what if i had not joined CO, what if i had joined Basketball? or Dance?  Would i have a different group of friends now???? Life thinking at least. So really, without CO and my CO gang, i probably not be with my current great group of friends as of now, - shoutout to Bertina, Pohyee, Jiaen, Wanxuan, Jeslyn, Simyee, Yishuen and Hamizan.

You guys made CO way more fun than it actually was. A bland CCA transformed into our daily hangout, even our second home????(quote Jeslyn)

And yes, I LOVE CO. ( for now)

4) Friendship.

This year, i truly learnt the spirit of true friendship, that friends, regardless of how weird you are, how embarrassing you are, stay there for you. My friends embarrass me all the time that i'm used to it. It's the comfortable silence between us that says "Even if you tease me, i know you're joking"

To me, that is the true essence of friendship.

Bertina, for always enduring my wacky moods and having heart to heart chats with me

Pohyee, for being a great advice giver and a listener whenever i'm frustrated and fellow music lover.

Jiaen, for always building the mood in order to let us relax and forget our burdens in life and laugh till we are crazy.

Wanxuan, for being the source of everyone's worries with her on-off studies/rs and also being a listener and for always listening to the rest of the clique even tho we are obviously younger. 😌

Jeslyn, for always shouldering endless burdens onto herself and letting us(ME) worry about her health. For always being that steady pillar both in class and in CO, always the leader of the team and a very lame joker at that.

Simyee, for being Jiaen ver.2 and always helping out despite how tired she really is. Always pushes herself to the limit and makes everyone worry about her health and sleep. She's Jeslyn ver.2 😕  For always putting us before herself, please change that and care about yourself.

Yishuen, for always making remarks that make us want to cry laughing, and she's mean to people she's close with so 👍👍

Hamizan, for being an endless jerkpie, but probably the one and only guy best friend i'm ever going to have.  For listening to me ranting and being upset about everything late at night and comforting me despite everything. For caring. For sharing. And for breaking the gender barrier down despite the problems that came along with it.

4) CLASSMATES

ok i might as well get straight to the point, to thank these amazing friends of mine, not in CO but who have been here since forever.

2 years of friendship, endless years of memories. For always being concerned, overprotective, screaming, thank you for everything. For clinging to me 24/7, talking at a crazy rate, crying and singing my little pony songs, you really light up my world. Love you 💓

Tien Weei

my very first friend in WGS. tremendous change in her HAHHA BC SHE LIKED BIEBER AND SHE'S ALL LIKE BANDS. crazily funny, hyper, she has her soft side and she's amazingly strong despite all she's gone through! One of the greatest friends i'll ever have because she's so caring. Love you Tien Weei, never let anyone put you down.

Shanpei

don't screw with Shanpei. She'll knock your balls off. Fun to be with, fantastically thin and atheletic(always say she fat walao) smart(SERIOUSLY) amazing friend that goes through thick and thin with you. Those long 2-3 hour viber calls were worth it. Really miss hanging out with you!!!!!!! HANG OUT MORE FOR REAL!!!!!!!

chey sofia is the most fun girl to be with, share really quite a few common topics together even though we rarely talk now due to different schedules, omg hang out more please!!!!!

need i say more? guardian angel. angel. SORRY JULIE IS A ANGEL i mean really. Try talking bad about julie in front of me and you'll get a terrible slap from me.
Julie is 2nice4u, 2cool4u she's amazing, funny, smart, CAN SING 🎉🎉🎉 AND she's AN ANGEL. pardon me.

HAHA JK really miss those PE floorball sessions where i just keep asking her to run but she run also not fast HAHA. obsessively lost her prada pencil case(Joke of the year HAHAHA) and we had so much fun and laughter together.

Happiness from within your soul

hello once again, it's been a long time!! So recently was my birthday plus Mid Autumn Celebrations plus Aces Day and Teachers' Day Celebration, which i have a lot of pictures and stuff to post about.

The meaning behind this post name is to dedicate this super duper long post to all the people who have been great friends, inspirations to me throughout my three years in Woodgrove. Soooo, if you're looking for dedications, this is the right page to go to ;)

On the 4th of September, it was my birthday but beforehand, i had experienced a birthday bash, well not birthday bash, but something around the lines of having whipped cream tossed and mashed into your face. Well, that's what happened to me and it wasn't really erm well i should say enjoyable????? I was more of surprised and all, because my friends said before that they were not going to do it or me as it wastes money etc etc, so it really came as a surprise HAHA.

Well on the 3rd, there was Mid Autumn Celebrations and CO always participates in this yearly event, which is at night, so most of the clique went home except for me and Pohyee. We pretty much leisurely enjoyed our lunch and went up to the CO Room after it opened at 3.30pm. I went about memorising my scores duh because idk i haven't played the song in ages, while Pohyee did her homework.

Around 4+, Bertina came from her home and joined us along with the rest of the CO gang that had stayed back in school and had not went home. So, it was just laughter and kid play, with Pohyee and Yishuen chasing each other non stop, 15 years old chasing each other, how immature HAHAHA. Then Jeslyn came and i started to annoy her, usual habit HAHA.

Afterwards, they started stopping me from getting out of the CO room, and i was oblivious, obviously that they were going to bash me, so i kept trying to get out, until Jeslyn finally let me chase her out of the CO Room and then someone shouted,

"1,2,3, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JEIMIN, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!"

aw man, i simply couldn't describe how surprised and happy i was, well unfortunately we didn't have a group photo, because something came up, but all i know is that i reeked of whipped cream in my hair and on my uniform for the entire night, including during the performance hahaha.

Super Duper thanks to all of them who took the time and effort to organise this lame small little birthday bash and they even gave me cakes, which i brought home to eat, and a really small but great gift from Jeslyn on the 3rd that made my day!!!!



All this occured at 4-5pm outside CO Room, now onwards to the Mid Autumn Celebration. Okay i'm just going to let the pictures do the talking, so enjoy :)

summing up Mid Autumn hehehehe, which was uber fun, even though i'm pretty sure i lost track of where my friends disappeared to because there were so many people ;x 

4th of September 

It was the actual day, and i was super hyped because it was also the Aces Day cum Teachers' Day Celebration, so, no school!! It was all fun and games and i participated in the Road Relay, which is seriously tiring. We had to run the Mass Run Route, excluding the field and it was a team of 14 students, 5 males, 5 fenales and 2 reserves of both genders. I felt that it was a very tiring activity, because i ran non stop and i was super tired honestly, but Shanpei, my good good friend from sec2, was a Sports Leader and she cheered me on hehe, miss her a lot :(( and i somehow got motivation ahahaha. I was the 4th to run, and basically the main aim is to challenge how many rounds a team can run in 1 hour. By getting a teacher to run, you get 3 points, and by getting a school leader to run, you get 5 points. Well our class lost out because our form teacher wasn't around and our co-form teacher was sick, so we didn't get much support from the teachers, but from our own legs only HAHAHA. 

Still, i felt that our team really put in a lot of effort to run, everyone was exhausted but still went around to find teachers to help us run :)) Really a job well done guys, seriously felt that our class spirit level up HAHA. Floorball for our class was also very close to winning even though they said that they felt it was unfair but oh well?? Yeah we only had these two activites then we headed to the canteen to have food, even though it wasn't recess, oh well but it was an automatic reaction so yeah. 

Afterwards, headed to class to get our report books and do the  termly spring cleaning and break before the teachers' day concert. Here are the photos.

love of my life 

well this was after i got bashed with post its??????? ok the pictures will explain it below hahahhaa. 

basically these two little sweethearts got together and decided to bash me with post its, how ridiculous but cute HAHAHA, so kawaii hehehehe. so much thanks to all of them for organizing such a small little surprise for me eheheh :)))  what's more, after the teachers' day celebration, i got bashed with eggs too so..... its their fault too HAHA 

5th of September 

i had originally decided to spend my time by going out with my family, but then around 3, gloria called me and she was like let's go cafe hunting. So, i told her okay as there was a new cafe around SSC, which is super suprising..

I met her at SSC as i live super near to SSC and we headed to that cafe. I had originally wanted to go to the Canopy Dining and Garden Cafe but it was pretty far so we decided against it haha. 

Basically summing it up, the cafe is called Moo Time and i really really liked the ambiance there, if i recall, we were the only customers for a while, until the dining hour came. It's a really good place to go to study at and their food is great in a certain sense. Although the waffles weren't really crunchy but it was just enough to satisfy me for 3 hours HAHAHAH 

I also liked the chocolate sauce i can't deny that it would be too much of a lie and i must say that the ice cream topping was very good, very very good. Gloria tried out a lot of flavours, tsk disturbing the customers but it was pretty good. 

Afterwards, we went to grab dinner at Burger King and went home hehe. Overall, i would go again for the service and the food hehe.

To Jingyee and Luyee 

All my life i have never been really close with any juniors since i was a hermit crab in primary school? Not literally but i didn't really interact much with people my junior as i was pretty much happy with having friends my age. To be honest, i always thought of people younger than me being my good friends as something new and fresh. When i first joined CO as a sec1, i never wanted to interact with seniors as i was partially scared, intimidated and partially not up to their level of maturity. 

Only since this year, have i gotten a lot more outspoken and active in talking to my juniors. It's the sense of warmth that engulfs you when you talk to them and have common interests and how they look up to you sometimes. It warms my heart. :) 

That, however, wasn't the same with Luyee. We literally started talking together by shouting at each other HAHAHA. It still seems really surreal up to now i guess, that we were able to become such good friends, most partially because both of us aren't really open to new opinions unless we are with our good friends. I can't really express much except the fact that i'm honored to know so much about her and her life with her certain person ;))))) 

To Jingyee 

If anyone reads this, Jingyee is actually Jiayee's younger sister. LMAO why am i even saying this because the only senior i talked more to during sec1 and sec2 was Jiayee i think??? So, having her younger sister as my good friend is just, well a coincidence i guess. Fuh not lying but Jingyee is a total replica of her sister, in terms of looks, but personality wise, nah. Jingyee is a small devil whilst Jiayee is a angel, but maybe it's the devil personality that led us to become so good friends. Despite the contrasting music tastes, different classes, and we only see each other for 3 hours per week, but every minute spent with her is really fun and enjoyable :)))))

it's a great honor knowing this small and kawaii girl, who likes My Little Pony and screams like a beached whale gurl. We've had our ups and downs and difficulties, but we got through it and here we are again, dearest cutesy bunny :D Really very touched by your letter and your present, i will treasure them hehehe :D Don't be so stressed over your subjects and results, 3E1 will get through it together, including me and you, we'll get through it together <3 

this loser actually didn't get me anything but her love, it is okay Jingni i love you still. These 3 years with you have seriously passed by like a blur, from strangers to tight knit buddies. It's the same strong personality that we have that enabled us to be so good friends. That attitude of not caring bout our images honestly brought us together. I think this picture kind of summaries your personality HAHAHAHAH. Don't be angry when you see this, i still love you. 

ayyyy finally here. My source of happiness for 3 years plus, ever since 2012 Feburary. The girl you see on the right, is the happy pill that has endlessly cheered up. 

To be honet, she looks quiet and anti-social, but she's the loudest person i've ever met(apart from myself of course HAHAHA) She does everything weirdly, she has a really serious attitude problem if you incur her wrath, she doesn't talk at all if you don't know her well. The thing is how and why am i friends with her, best friends even.

 Well, they say, if you really want to be friends with that person, you'll lower your pride for them even if they're in the wrong, you'll laugh and cry with them, and you'll forgive them no matter happened. Trust, we used to have countless stupid arguments, say we would argue about whether a clown fish is orange or not...which is really lame now that i think about it. Back then, it didn't occur to me that hey these arguments could be prevented and there wasn't really much to argue about with her. But i just did. And we argued, a lot. 

Suddenly, i realised, if i wanted to be her friend, i wouldn't pick mindless arguments with her, i wouldn't pick on her bad points and ask her to change for the better. And so i did, i stopped doing useless arguments and only adviced on the important stuffs that would shape her future being. She did it too. She started to change her attitude, she stopped being so temperament, she stopped doing stuffs like rebutting me. She actually sat down, and listened. She matured, and i matured. That was how the friendship grew. 

It grew from a seedling into a fruit tree with bountiful fruit. And that, summaries up my friendship with Wanxuan, the bae of my life. 

It's pohyee, the lame ahma in my life. She has always given great advices even though she can be pretty vulgar, well more than vulgar, but don't judge a book by its appearence. She's actually very friendly and outgoing and pretty nice when you get to know her and super nasty when you are really close to her( i think that only applies to me HAHA)  so yeah, thanks to ahma for listening to me and doing random outbursts of laughter with me that is seriously a bit crazy ah sial 

wooots ah, itz da bananaz HAHAH. Bertina seriously is way too siao, way too crazy and way too fun to be with :DDDDD She gave my cupcakes before and when i got home i couldn't eat it because it was mashed ;( but i felt the love hehehehe. Thanks for all your advices and your yolo character because damn we fit HAHAHA. ps we are the ones who really go yolo during exams, which explains our grades HAHAHA love you <3 

my zi high partner HAHAHAHAH hello la u bodoh always ask me to accompany you here and there i your maid ah sial. One thing to know bout jiaen, she is not just siao, she is super super super siao. Wait until you get to know her, you'll laugh until you get stitches in your stomach it's that funny. Because she doesn't bother about her image, another Jingni, so i'm mostly the one getting high with her. We got high on oreo last time so yeah we donut care if u judge us, leave the crazy be. :DDDDD

i have a lot more that are stuffed somewhere in my gallery but let's not mind about that. I've known this little cheeky dead bunny since i was 7 till now. It's pretty boom wow amazing that we didn't talk much during primary school, i guessed we talked about a average of 10 sentences per year HAHAHA. After we graduated, we started talking, and we went to work together for 2 weeks and i realised she has all these weird pet peeves that are alike mine, HAHA don't ask. And yeah we did get super duper close, we haven't seen each other in almost half a year but i've been seeing her face on snapchat 24/7 and learning about her food diet daily bc she takes too many photos of food gdi girl get a grip. Aw but thanks to this qtpie who's staying with me and always giving me random bursts of encouragement and what a coincidence, her sister is in the same class as my brother since p1 too. damn, we were meant to become friends. <3 Love you val 

Jiexi 

if i didn't mention this specific person, i would be literally lying to myself yas hat's right, Now trail your eyes to the top right hand corner of the photo, of the girl beside me. That's Jiexi. We've been inseparable since 8. And yes we have been mistaken as each other even since we were 8, and it still happens now, don't ask why i also dk why people keep mixing us up... like do we really look that alike?? I can see the resemblance but yeah pretty much. 

She and I, we were never really the type of girls that go shopping for clothes and never get a good enough closet, we are the type of girls to go to a bookshop and stay there for 5 hours and then go home. That's right, that's pretty much us. We share the similar love for novels, and we also have similar taste in music, well damn even our subject combinations are similar. It's been a great blessing to have her in my life and we are getting closer to the 10th year anniversary :DDD 

They said that, once a friendship lasts over 7 years, that friendship will last a lifetime. 

I believe in that, Jiexi and I will continue to walk down the road of life, together hand in hand, through the teenage years, though adulthood, till we are grey haired and lost all our teeth.

Yes, that's the end. :) It took me literally like 2 years to write it, ok i'm using a HYPERBOLE, but once again thank you to everyone  who has played a such an important part in my life. I'm so blessed for all of you.
